SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 5°C below December average temperature in Rakhine State, 3°C below December average temperature in Chin State, 2°C below December average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State and 3°C above December average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 0.0°C in Hakha, 4.5°C in Tiddim, 5.0°C in Namsan (Southern Shan), 5.9°C in Pyinoolwin, 6.5°C in Heho, 7.0°C in Loilin, 7.6°C in Pinlaung, 7.7°C in Putao, 8.0°C in Myitkyina and 9.6°C in Machanbaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall record was 0.74 inch in Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, a few cloud to partly cloudy over the central Bay of Bengal and generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th December 2024: Rain will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
