19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.48 inches in Labutta, 2.38 inches in Ngapudaw, 2.24 inches each in Heho and Dedaye, 2.20 inches in Myaungmya, 2.01 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 1.54 inches each in Pyinoolwin and Kungyangon and 1.30 inches each in Taunggu, Hlaingbwe and Paing Kyone.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (10:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression that crossed North Andhra Pradesh Coast, close to Kalingapatnam (India) has moved Northwestwards and into a land Depression. It is likely continue to move Northwestwards and gradually weaken. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Bago Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
