BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha, India) moved Northwestwards and crossed North Andhra Pradesh Coast, close to Kalingapatnam (India). It is likely to move Northwestwards and may cross north Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
