BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bangladesh still persists. It is likely to move north-northwestwards and may further intensify into a Well marked low pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next (19-8-2024). Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway , Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing , Magway Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
