SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan (East and South) and Chin States and widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon Region and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were North Dagon (4.33)inches, Bago (3.51)inches, Yangon(Kabaaye) (3.47)inches, Khayan and Kyeikmayaw (3.15)inches each, Thayat (3.07)inches, Yangon(Mingaladon) (2.95)inches and Chaungsone (2.72)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
