SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, Southern Shan and Mon States, scattered in Mandalay, Northern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States with isolated heavy falls in Magway Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (3.08)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.91)inches, Myaungmya (2.13)inches, Kalay (2.09) inches, Katha (1.93) inches, Kawthaung (1.81)inches, Sinphyugyun (1.69)inches, Kyauktaw (1.65) inches, Homalin (1.61)inches and Tamu (1.57)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Shan State, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Kachin State.
