SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaing Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Heho and (4°C) each in Putao, Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan), Pinlaung, Loilin, Mongyang and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay and partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th January 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
