SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in (Eastern and Southern)Shan States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Taungkok (5.20)inches, Kyauktaw (3.74)inches, Kyaukphyu (3.66)inches, Hkamti (2.68)inches, Khayan (2.60)inches, Myauk U (2.56)inches, Belin (2.28)inches, Tamu (2.05)inches, Kalay and Chaungsone (2.01)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State, fairlywidespread in Naypyitaw, (Northern & Southern)Shan and Kayah States, widespread in  Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and  isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd July, 2017: One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (100%).
