BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (128)miles West - Southwest of Thandwe, (125)miles South- Southwest of Sittwe, (110)miles Southwest of Kyauk Phyu. It is forecast to move Northeast wards. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Region and Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experience Deltaic, Gulf off Mottoma, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.Sea will be moderate to rough sea elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9- 14)feet in Deltaic, Gulf off Mottoma, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about in (7 - 10) off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon in to the Central Myanmar areas.
