BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the Andaman Sea. It is likely to further intensify into a depression. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4 - 6)feet elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
