SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State and weather has been generally fair in Ayeyarwady Region, Kayah and Kayin States, partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (8°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (2°C) below March average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk and Bawlakhae, (39°C) in Tharrawady. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Muse and Kawthoung (0.32)inch each, Myitsone (0.28)inch, Tamu (0.12)inch, Naypyitaw Airport (Ela), Myitkyina, Bhamo, Monyin, Mogaung and Kengtung (0.08)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States, isolated in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
