SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and (Eastern and Southern)Shan State, Scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with Regional heavy falls in Naypyitaw. Day temperatures were (3°C) below April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State, (2°C) below April average temperature in Bago Region and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) in Nyaung Oo, (40°C)each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Yamethin, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pakokku, Taungdwingyi, Pauk and Sinpyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pyinmana (2.29)inches, Myeik (2.20)inches, Hinthada (1.69)inches, Naypyitaw( Zabuthiri) (1.61)inches, Pathein (1.18)inches, Taungdwingyi and Dawei (1.15)inches each, Launglon (1.06)inches, Nyaunglaybin (0.90)inch, Nyaungshwe and Pyinoolwin (0.87)inch each and Thaton (0.75)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, a low pressure area may form over the South Andaman Sea during next (24)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4 - 6)feet elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
