SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (7.20)inches, Myauk U (4.72)inches, Thandwe (4.42)inches, Gwa (4.02)inches, Maungdaw (3.98)inches, Kataingti (3.73)inches, Theinzayet (3.66)inches, Hkamti (3.43)inches, Yay (3.07)inches, Ann (2.88)inches,  Northern Dagon (2.83)inches, Kaba-Aye and Belin (2.59)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong Monsoon.
