SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in Kayah State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (2°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above April average temperature in Mon State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) each in Myingyan and Nyaung Oo, (41°C) each in Mandalay, Minbu, Magway, Sinphyugyun, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Tiddim (0.39)inch and Tongzan (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rdAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, isolated in Taninthayi Region, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
