SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin and Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above May average temperature in Rakhine State, (8°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (6°C) below May average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Chin State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Aunglan, (39°C) each in Chauk and Magway. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Coco-Island (3.07)inches, Hainggyigyun (2.44)inches, Putao (1.73)inches, Myeik (1.69)inches, Maubin (1.46)inches, Central Yangon (1.26)inches, Mongyang and Phyarpon (1.14)inches each and Minesat (1.02)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and South Bay and a few clouds over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3- 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
