SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Kayin State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kayah State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk, Minbu , Magway, Aunglan and Sinpyugyun ,(40°C) in Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (2.16) inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.22) inches, Dawei (0.87) inch, Thaton and Paung (0.83) inch each, Muse (0.71) inch, Kyauktaw and Hmawbi (0.59) inch each, Belin (0.55) inch, Tiddim (0.51) inch, Kyeikkhame (0.47) inch and Kulong (0.39)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather is partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3- 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
