SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region and weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Mandalay Region, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Namsam, (0°C) each in Heho and Loilin, (2°C) each in Thipaw, Pinlaung and Hakha, (3°C) in Mongyang. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthaung (0.04)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th JANUARY, 2018: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
