SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below March average temperature in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, (2°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk and Aunglan, (39°C) in Magway. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao and Manchanbaw (0.31)inch each and Hkamti (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the East central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
