BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal continues has moved East-Northeastwards. It is centered at about 510 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Visakhapatnam (India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 22nd December 2024: Rain will be widespread in Chin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h and wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Rakhine Coast. See will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
