BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “DANA” over Northwest Bay has moved North-Northwestwards. The band of storm is crossing near North Odisha and West Bengal Coasts between Puri and Sagar Island close to Dhamara(India). It is likely to continue crossing the interior of Odisha this morning.
Weather is cloudy over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay, Westcentral Bay and South Bay and partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “TRAMI” over South China Sea has moved West-Southwestwards and it is forecast likely to move Westwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
