BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “DANA” over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 275 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), 320 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island West Bengal (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24^th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Frequently squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 50-55 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-15 feet o in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
