23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (16:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Eastcentral Bay of Bangel and adjoin North Andaman Sea has moved west-northwest and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a Depression around 22-10-2024 and into a Cyclonic storm over Eastcentral Bay around 23-10-2024 and may reach to Northwest Bay of Bengal (off Odisha-West Bengal Coasts, India). Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a severe Cyclonic Strom and may cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island in early morning 25-10-2024.Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Eastcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 22nd October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 45-50 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
