SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.46 inches in Ngathaichaung, 1.26 inches in Nanyun, 1.06 inches each in Hpa-an and Myeik, 1.02 inches in Namsam(Southern Shan), 0.94 inch each in Gyobingauk and Ye, 0.75 inch in Dawei, 0.71 inch in Maubin, 0.63 inch in Coco Island, 0.59 inch in Yangon(Mingaladon) and 0.55 inch in Saw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th October 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
