BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the tropical depression over South China Sea has moved Westwards. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and may intensify into a tropical depression and cross Middle Vietnam Coast tonight.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered inNaypyitaw, Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Regions.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
