SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.19 inches in Kawkareik, 2.96 inches in Sittwe, 2.24 inches in Kalay, 2.17 inches in Putao, 1.97 Gyobingauk, 1.89 inches in Hakha, 1.53 inches in Kyaukhtu, 1.45 inches in Saw, 1.41 inches in Kawthaung and 1.34 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri).

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the West Bengal(India) and adjoining Bangladesh almost stationary still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Norhtern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
