SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Northern Shan State, isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Magway, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Magway and Sinphyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Htilin (0.87)inch, Machanbaw (0.67)inch, Putao (0.47)inch and Lashio (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
