22-12-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal almost stataionary and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely forecast to weaken gradually over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the wind wave over Chin and Rakhine States likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a Low Pressure Area over Coastal Bangladesh and adjoining North Bay of Bengal during next (24) hours. It is likely to continue to move slowly West-Northwards and may further intensify into a depression over Coastal West Bengal (India) and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal during next (48)hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and  Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
