26-11-2024:According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 790 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar) and 480 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy  over the North Andaman Sea.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.55 inches each in Kawkareik and Mudon, 5.12 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 4.75 inches in Paing Kyone, 4.33 inches in Theinzayet, 4.18 inches each in Pinlaung and Mawlamyine, 4.05 inches in Ye, 4.01 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 3.97 inches in Taunggyi, 3.94 inches in Hpa-an and 3.82 inches in Minesat.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the wave which is crossing over Central Myanmar areas may continue to move West-Northwestwards and  cross over Central Myanmar areas.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11st September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
