BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) during next 24 hours..Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Yagi” crossed over Hanoi, Vietnam has moved West-Southwestwards and reached near Phu Tho, Vietnam .It is likely to move slowly Northwestwards and downgrade into a Tropical Storm “Yagi” during next 12 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVEING OF THE 8th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing ,Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the whole country.
