BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) on 8-9-2024. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” is crossing over Quang Ninh, Vietnam moved Westwards and it is downgrade into a Severe Tropical Storm “Yagi” during next 12 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the whole country.
