BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4 - 7 feet in Deltaic,off and along Rakhine Coast.
