BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 - 35 mph. Wave height will be about 8 - 10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5 - 7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
