SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kachin State and isolated heavy falls in Magway Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao (3.90)inches, Kyauktaw (3.82)inches, Machanbaw (3.15)inches, Hkamti (2.95)inches, Paletwa (2.60) inches, Taungkok (2.52) inches, Nyaunglaybin (2.40) inches, Thandwe (2.36) inches, Maungdaw (2.28) inches and Htilin (1.76)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Upper Myanmar areas.
