14-9-2024:     According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the West Bengal (India) and adjoining Bangladesh has moved west-southwestwards and crossing the interior of Bangladesh .

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.61 inches in Mudon, 3.15 inches in Hinthada, 2.87 inches in Pyinoolwin, 2.83 inches in Kawkareik, 2.60 inches in Hlegu, 2.24 inches in Putao, 2.13 inches in Tharrawady, 2.09 inches in Hmawbi, 2.00 inches in Paing Kyone and 1.89 inches each in Sittwe and Kyonpyaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over West Bengal, India and adjoining Bangladesh still persists. It is likely to move Westwards and may cross West Bengal, India. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady  Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
