14-9-2024:     According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the West Bengal (India) and adjoining Bangladesh has moved west-southwestwards and crossing the interior of Bangladesh .

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bangladesh still persists over West Bengal, India and adjoining Bangladesh. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing,  Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
