SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.68 inches in Dawei, 1.93 inches in Machanbaw, 1.89 inches in Ye, 1.61 inches in Mudon, 1.50 inches in Kyeitlat, 1.10 inches in Myitkyina, 0.98 inch in Phyarpon, 0.79 inch in Chaungsone and 0.75 inch in Shan-Ywar-Thit.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
