30-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.89 inches in Hmawbi, 3.43 inches in Phyarpon, 2.91 inches in Putao, 2.87 inches in Kungyangon, 2.84 inches in Wakema, 2.68 inches in Hlegu, 2.04 inches in Danubyu, 2.00 inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, 1.93 inches each in Ye and Belin and 1.89 inches in Pathein.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
