8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) during next 24 hours.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 13th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
