SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan and Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Northern Shan, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.20 inches in Thabeikkyin, 4.57 inches in Hsipaw, 2.43 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 2.24 inches in Mogoke, 1.54 inches in Tamu, 1.41 inches each in Ann and Coco Island, 1.38 inches in Yangon(Mayangone) and 1.14 inches each in Myitkyina and Hkamti.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
