SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and (Eastern and Southern) Shan State, scattered in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon Region. Day temperatures were (5°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) below April average temperature in Kayah State and (2°C) below April average temperatures in Eastern Shan and Chin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Magway, Taungdwingyi and Shwekyin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Khayan (3.46)inches, Central Yangon (3.35)inches, Kawthaung (0.90)inch, Kyeikkhame (0.87)inch, Hakha (0.82)inch, Tatkon (0.79)inch, Mogoke (0.67)inch, Loilin (0.43)inch and Yeu (0.39)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
