BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 25th June 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyawwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6 - 8 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
