24-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Rakhine, Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
