27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 7thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Chin State, scattered in Sagaing,  Magway Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine,Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay ,Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan, Chin,  Rakhine, Kayin States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
