25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Tanintharyi Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 8.27 inches in Kyeikkhame, 7.01 inches in Chaungsone, 5.39 inches in Mudon, 4.06 inches in Hainggyigyun, 3.94 inches each in Paung and Kyeikmayaw, 3.78 inches in Mawlamyine, 3.62 inches each in Gwa and Dawei, 3.59 inches in Ye, 3.27 inches in Thandwe, 3.07 inches each in Mogoke and Manaung and 2.68 inches each in Taunggu(Avia-Met) and Htilin.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 6-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
