BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Southwest and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 17th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan, Mon States ,scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.
THE CONDITION OFCUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan,Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Mandalay, Taninthay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States.
