BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 9th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwary Region and Kachin, Northern Shan,  Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OFCUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th May 2024:                                 Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th May 2024:                                      Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.
