SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C to 6°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon Region and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperature in Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were observed 48.2°C in Chauk, 46.1°C in Magway, 46.0°C each in Myingyan and Nyaung Oo, 45.6°C in Myinmu, 45.5°C each in Sagaing, Tada U(Aviation-Met), Minbu, 45.3°C in Aunglan and 45.0°C in Taungdwingyi on 28-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.60 inch in Putao and 0.43 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Chin State and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States.
