SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayayarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C to 6°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayah States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and 2°C below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in Eastern Shan State. The significant day temperatures were observed 47.1°C in Chauk, 44.7°C in Nyaung Oo, 44.5°C in Myingyan, 44.2°C in Sagaing, 44.1°C each in Magway and Aunglan, 44.0°C each in Monywa and Myinmu, 43.9°C in Sinbyugyun and 43.8°C in Minbu on 26-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.24 inch in Putao, 0.12 inch in Machanbaw and 0.08 inch in Kengtung and Kyangin(Seiktha).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States.
