SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, slight rain has been isolated in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above March average temperature in Tanininthayi Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk, Sinpyugyun and Bawlakhae, (39°C) each in Pyinmana, Aunglan, Shwekyin, Phyu and Kawkareik. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthaung (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
