SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperature in Kachin State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Mon States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C each in Magway, Aunglan and Taungdwingyi and 43°C each in Myingyan, Naung Oo, Chauk, Sinbyugyun and Pyay. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 0.20 inch in Namsam (Southern Shan), 0.16 inch in Minesat and 0.08 inch in Loilin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
